Most people who visit Pelcomb Cross want to stay longer.
Our family-run campsite Dunston Hill is just down the road.
You’ll find it in Pelcomb. a little further down the hill, on the right hand side (just past the handy garage which doubles up as a very well stocked supermarket and takeaway food outlet). The gated entrance is conveniently located off the A487.
The location has the perfect blend of being remote enough to relax and accessible enough to explore everything that Pembrokeshire has to offer, and many of our generous pitches can accommodate even larger tents (but call first to make sure an extra large pitch is available). All pitches have optional electricity..
The 3 acre campsite is quiet and unspoiled, with large green areas, and set in farmland – it’s perhaps at it’s best when we have our lambs in the bottom field. Many of our pitches are now seasonal, allowing campers to pitch up at the start of the season and visit whenever they want to.
The site is within easy reach of town living in Haverfordwest, with plenty of shops and an ancient castle, as well as being perfectly accessible for Broadhaven, Marloes Sands, and Newgale (perfect for for the surfer within you!) The National Trust Southwood Estate Walking trail is nearby, perfect for quite walks across craggy clifftops.
A short drive to St. Davids will allow you to explore the smallest City in Europe with it’s historic Cathedral, Art Galleries and tiny independent shops, and a slightly further drive will take you to Aberystwyth and Cardigan Bay.
Finally, for those who like theme park-style entertainment, Wales leading theme park Oakwood Park is a short drive away, and Folly Farm and Dyfed Shire Horse Farm are within easy reach.
